Lilac House is situated in the heart of mid-Wales, a few steps from walkers’ favourite Offa’s Dyke and in-between the charming market towns of Montgomery and Welshpool.
Converted and extended in autumn 2012, the self-contained one-bedroom holiday cottage combines country chic with modern comforts, including a contemporary kitchen and bathroom. Guests have their own sun terrace for al fresco drinks and dining. We also welcome you to enjoy our garden – the free-range chickens (and their eggs!) are a particular favourite with visitors as are the home-grown vegetables.
Annexed to a traditional black and white cottage, Lilac House is the perfect place to soak up the rolling hills, fresh air and countryside welcome typical of the Welsh Marches. Sheep and cows graze in the neighbouring fields whilst our dark night skies are packed with stars. There’s plenty on offer locally, from farmers’ markets and nature reserves to outdoor pursuits and a Michelin-starred restaurant just over two miles away.
We can easily cater for those with babies/small toddlers as we have a travel cot and stairgates available.
